Career
Born on January 4, 1952 in Ginowan City, Okinawa Prefecture. After studying at Ryukyu Government Futenma High School, he entered the Faculty of Science and Engineering at the University of the Ryukyus in March 1974. In the same year, he joined Ginowan City Hall. After serving as Ginowan City Labor Commissioner and Director of the Chubu District Labor Office, he was elected to the Okinawa Prefectural Assembly in 1996 (second term). Elected mayor of Ginowan in 2003 (second term). At the prefectural assembly, he demonstrated his skills in issues such as the Prefectural Children's Hospital and the Peace Memorial Museum. In 2004, when he was mayor of Ginowan, a large U.S. military helicopter crashed into the city's main building and burst into flames. He clarified the dangers of the Futenma base and requested three visits to the United States. We will work to realize administrative IT and improve education, welfare, and medical care. Attracting large stores, hotels, etc. to the west coast area of ​​Ginowan City. Attracting the Ryukyu Sea Flame Festival to Seaside Park. Member of the Harassment Committee and Administrative Oversight Committee. So far, he has been a member of the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, the Special Committee on Official Development Assistance and Okinawa/Northern Affairs, the International Economic and Diplomacy Investigation Committee, the North Korea/Abduction Special, the Political Ethics/Election Special, and the Imperial House Law Special Provisions Bill.
