Career
Born on February 20, 1970 in Negishi, Isogo Ward, Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture. Eiko Gakuen High School, Faculty of Law, University of Tokyo. Joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and worked in the Embassy of Japan in Spain, the Latin America Bureau, Latin America Division 1, and the Treaties Bureau, Legal Affairs Division. After retiring, he served as pastor of Good Samaritan Church, vice principal of Children of the Light Christian School, chairman of the social welfare corporation Good Samaritan, and principal of Aioi Gakuin High School Inagawa School. In July 2020, he was elected as a member of the House of Councilors through regular election proportional representation (recognized by the Japan Innovation Association). Served as a member of the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee of the National Institute of Foreign Affairs, a director of the Budget Committee, a member of the Special Committee on the Abduction Issue by North Korea, a member of the Special Committee on Disaster Countermeasures, a member of the Special Committee on Regional Revitalization and the Formation of a Digital Society, etc., and a member of the Investigation Committee on Foreign Affairs and Security.
