Born on April 19, 1972 in Arita City, Wakayama Prefecture. Completed master's program at Osaka City University Graduate School of Creative Cities in 2017. After graduating from Wakayama Prefectural Minoshima High School, he worked as an employee at the Arita City Fire Department. After serving two terms as a member of the Arita City Council, he was elected mayor of Arita. Served as Chairman of the Wakayama Prefecture Fishing Port Association, Vice Chairman of the National Young Mayors Association, Chairman of the Wakayama Prefecture Mayors Association, Vice Chairman of the Arita Mandarin Orange Area Agricultural Heritage Promotion Council, Vice Chairman of the Arita/Shimotsu Area Global Agricultural Heritage Promotion Council, and Vice Chairman of the Kinki Mayors Association. After serving four terms as Mayor of Arita, he will retire in 2024.
