Born on November 2, 1965 in Kumakogen Town, Ehime Prefecture. After attending the prefectural Matsuyama Nishi High School (Matsuyama Nishi Secondary Education School), he entered Meiji University's Faculty of Law in 1990. In the same year, he joined Komei Shimbun. After engaging in reporting activities at the Kyushu bureau, Okinawa bureau, political department, etc., he became Kyushu bureau chief in 2010. In charge of writing the front page column "Big Dipper". Resigned from Komei Shimbun in July 2020
