Born on March 18, 1950 in Sakado City, Saitama Prefecture. After attending Sakado Elementary School, Sakado Junior High School, and Prefectural Matsuyama High School, he entered the Faculty of Engineering at Saitama University in 1976, and entered the College of Engineering at the same university in 1977.
〇Joined Komei Shimbun in 1981. As a reporter for the Culture Department, Education Department, News Department, Editorial Department, and Politics Department, he covers the front lines of politics, including reportage that digs into various social issues, and diplomacy and security. During this time, he visited North Korea in 1999, Pakistan in 1999, and Russia in 2018 as a member of a party delegation and accompanying a visiting delegation of members of the Diet. Served as political director in 2010, editorial director in 2010, and retired in July 2011.
