Career

Born on July 18, 1963 in Taka District, Hyogo Prefecture. Graduated from Nishiwaki Prefectural High School in 1986, graduated from the Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Kyoto University in 1991, and joined the Graduate School of Engineering, Kyoto University in 1993. In graduate school, he studied earthquake resistance engineering. He joined the Ministry of Construction (currently the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism) in 1993. After joining the Ministry, he was mainly involved in road administration. In addition to road policies such as the privatization of public road corporations, he also worked on ensuring the quality of public works projects and improving treatment in the construction industry. Director of the Fukuoka Prefectural Land Development Department in August 2018, Director of the Planning Department of the Kanto Regional Development Bureau in April 2021, Director of the Technical Research Division in the Minister's Secretariat in June 2020, Director of the Kinki Regional Development Bureau in July 2020, and retired in May 2021. In Fukuoka Prefecture, we promoted plans for the Shimonoseki-Kitakyushu Road, which connects Shimonoseki and Kitakyushu.The Kanto Regional Development Bureau promoted work style reforms in the construction industry, such as reducing the number of construction documents.The Kinki Regional Development Bureau responded to disasters by quickly dispatching Tech Force (Emergency Disaster Countermeasures Dispatch Team) to the affected areas during the Noto Peninsula Earthquake that occurred in January 2020.
