Career

Born on March 2, 1951 in Yamagata City, Yamagata Prefecture. After attending Yamagata University Junior High School and Yamagata Prefectural Nagai High School, he entered Nihon University's College of Arts and Sciences in 1976. After completing his career in 1981, he joined Yamagata Broadcasting Co., Ltd., and was in charge of being a personality announcer for various TV and radio programs, including serving as Yamagata's anchor for "Zoom In!! Morning!" as an announcer. After serving as announcement manager and news production department announcement manager, he served as full-time manager of the production department. Retired from Yamagata Broadcasting Co., Ltd. on February 28, 2019. In July 2019, Shuji was elected as a member of the House of Councilors from Yamagata Prefecture's Chosen Ward. 〇Currently appointed Chief of the Administrative Oversight Committee of the Board of Counselors (Appointed on December 18, 2020)
