Career

Born on December 26, 1960 in Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture. Graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Tokyo in 1986. He was captain of the judo club in junior high and high school, and the archery club in university. In the same year, he joined the Ministry of Home Affairs. In 2005, he was appointed to the Ibaraki Prefectural Office after working at the Aomori Prefectural Office, Kagoshima Prefectural Office, as Director of the Academic Affairs and Documents Division, Director of the Elderly Affairs Division, and Director of the Finance Division, in the Secretariat of the Central Ministry Reform Promotion Headquarters in the Uchia Secretariat, Assistant Director of the Self-Government Policy Division of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Assistant Director of the Local Debt Division, and Secretary to the Deputy Chief Cabinet Secretary of the Prime Minister's Office. After that, for eight years he served as director of the police department and vice governor. Elected as leader in the 23rd regular election for members of the House of Councilors. Serves as Chief Director of the National Diet Committee of the National Diet Council, Parliamentary Secretary of the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Chairman of the National Diet Affairs Committee of the Liberal Democratic Party of Japan, Deputy Director of the Liberal Democratic Party's Parliamentary Affairs Committee, Director-General of the Liberal Democratic Party's New Capitalism Implementation Headquarters for Inspecting and Reviewing Public Systems in Response to Price Rise, Director-General of the Liberal Democratic Party's Special Task Force on Loneliness and Isolation Countermeasures, Vice Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry and Deputy Minister of Nai Afu, etc. 〇Currently appointed Chief Director of the Agriculture and Fisheries Committee of the Japan National Councilor, Deputy Director of the Liberal Democratic Party of Japan, Chairman of the Liberal Democratic Party's Agricultural Products Export Promotion Committee, and Secretary of the Liberal Democratic Party's Taxation Research Committee (Appointed on December 18, 2020)
