Born on December 7, 1950 in Takanezawa-cho, Shioya-gun, Tochigi Prefecture
〇After graduating from Tochigi Prefectural Utsunomiya Higashi High School, entered Meiji University Faculty of Law, Department of Law, in March 1981.
〇After working, joined Nippon Electronics Co., Ltd. (Hokuto Police Group). 1985 House of Councilors member Junzo Iwasaki public secret book
〇December 1996: Elected as a member of the Tochigi Prefectural Assembly
〇In August 1998, due to the sudden death of the current mayor, he ran for the Takanezawa mayoral election and was elected, serving four consecutive terms for 15 years until March 2013.
〇 July 2013, 23rd regular election for members of the House of Councilors, elected in Tochigi prefecture's selected ward
〇Holded important positions such as Deputy Chairman of the Party-State Affairs Committee and Director of the Budget Committee, and was appointed as a political official of the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism in August 2017.
〇After winning his second term in July 2019, he served as the President of the Judicial Affairs Committee, Vice Chief of the Party, Deputy Director of the House Steering Committee, Deputy Director of the Party-Country Relations Committee, Chairman of the Committee on Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (two terms), and State Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (concurrently serving as Vice Minister of Naifu and Reconstruction).
