Career

Born on September 12, 1971 in Gifu City, Gifu Prefecture. Graduated from Gifu Prefectural Gifu Sogo Gakuen High School (formerly Gifu Daiichi Girls' High School) and Kindai University Junior College Department of Commerce and Economics. In 1995, he joined the All Japan Karatedo Federation's Japan national team and remained there for 11 years. In 2004, won the All Japan Karatedo Championship for 8 consecutive years and the World Karatedo Championship for 4th time (certified by Guinness World Records). Received the Gifu Prefectural Honor Award, the JOC Sports Award for Outstanding Athlete, and the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology's Sports Merit Award. In April 2015, Shuji was elected to the Gifu Prefectural Assembly. From the same year, she served as the director of the Liberal Democratic Party's Gifu Prefectural Women's Federation. Since then, he has been elected for three terms. While serving as a member of the Gifu Prefectural Assembly, he served as Chairman of the Agricultural Services Committee, Chairman of the Agriculture and Forestry Committee, Chairman of the Health and Welfare and Environment Committee, and Gifu Prefecture Audit Committee Member. In July 2020, elected as the leader of the House of Councilors.
