Born on June 11, 1963 in Nogata City, Fukuoka Prefecture. In 1981, he entered the Department of Political Science and Economics, Faculty of Law, Nihon University. Served as a member of the Nogata City City Council for three consecutive terms since 1991. In 1993, he became the second chairman of the National Association of Young City Councilors. In 1999, became a permanent director of the National Cram School Association. In 2006, he became the chairman of the Youth Liaison Council of the Fukuoka Prefecture Small and Medium Enterprise Association. In July 2007, elected as leader of the House of Councilors. Appointed chief director of the Administrative Oversight Committee. In November 2007, he became an advisor to the Fukuoka Prefecture Nogata Chamber of Commerce and Industry. In July 2013, elected as a member of the House of Councilors (second term). In September 2014, he assumed the position of Chief Uchia. Elected as a member of the House of Councilors in January 2020 (third term)
